Creativity is a continual process.

Our modern lives have taught us to squeeze everything out of each minute + we feel flawed for slowing down. As a wife + mother of two, it can feel like there isn’t enough time or space to create.

That’s why I developed a process that weaves creativity into daily life.

I’m here to make you feel as comfortable with color, materials + technique as a seasoned creator—so you can embrace creativity with a sense of calm + joy in the small moments.

Let me share my process with you

    Virtual Classes

My online classes feature a top-down view of my workspace. Students watch me paint as I keep up an ongoing dialogue. I share the whys + hows of my creative choices. You may even catch me saying “I don’t like what I just did”, explain the reason, and then correct the problem. It’s nice to know that even experienced artists don’t get it right on the first try!

    In-Person Workshops

Are you interested in joining me for an in-person workshop? Then, you’re encouraged to join me in an intimate group setting at Two Hands Paperie in Boulder, Colorado, for a hands-on experience. In addition to sharing my process, you get to use my favorite supplies + I provide encouragement to keep you painting.

    Private Workshops

Private creative experiences for artists + creatives at every level—especially the creatively curious. Regardless of their artistic talents or experience levels, all attendees will be encouraged to let go of inhibitions + embrace the freedom of creativity. I welcome a shared vision for your private workshop.

Here’s what my previous students have to say…

  • "Just another excellent class from Lexis. Learning more + more and letting it be okay that we are learning it doesn’t have to be perfect + it’s all okay."

Kristin, student from Exploring Colors + Shapes virtual workshop

  • "My first class was with you a couple months ago, so I blame you for this rabbit hole slash addition."

Blair, student from Exploring Colors + Shapes virtual workshop

  • "I forget just how much I love watercolor! This class taught me to let my mind go + meditate in the color flow + doodle magic."

Anita, student from Joy of Watercolor Doodling virtual workshop

  • "Lexis, thanks so much for modeling everything a great teacher is + does!"
