Art Practices
to experience color + joy in the small moments.
Connect with Creative Self
Art instruction paired with
the perfect combination
of practical guidance + artistic inspiration.
I’ll make you feel as comfortable with color, materials + technique as a seasoned creator—so you can experience the creative process that helps me feel more grounded, calm + present.
Hiya! I’m Lexis — Denver artist + mama + color-loving doodler.
I’m the artist best friend your
Creative Self needs.
Cultivating creativity + joy allows me to express myself + find what truly has meaning. My real life friends have an open invitation to create in my studio because I take joy in sharing my creative practice. It’s what helps me feel grounded + calm + present.
I create vibrant art + an experience that our Creative Selves most need, guiding you to remember that joy + freedom are available when you connect with Creative Self.
Here’s how you can connect with Creative Self:
I believe we are all creative.
That’s why I help women
connect to their joy + sense of self
through colorful art + creative art practices.
Because I know there is a Creative Self inside each of us.
So, why watercolors + doodles?
Pregnant with my second child, I opened an old box of watercolor paints for the first time. I was desperate to keep creating. Sitting at the kitchen counter, in the eye sight of my sleeping daughter, I experimented with watercolors then doodled over my brush marks.
I was immediately hooked!
What does this mean for you?
My simplified, layered watercolor process allows me to share my knowledge of color, composition + harmony, so that you feel more cool + calm + collected when creating.
Stop waiting
for the right time.
The freedom + joy of my practice
is available to you now.

"I’ve taken a bunch [of classes] with Lexis and really enjoy those…I’m always looking for new inspiration, and especially, I love Lexis’s classes because they’re all about, like, as a parent of 4 teenagers, it’s like, get in, get out.
You know, get it done.
And fast.”
Are you curious?
How do I create when it doesn’t feel like I have enough time or space?
(And, of course, by ‘enough’ I mean long hours of solitude + uninterrupted time.)
I do it anyway
+ I keep trying.
Drop your details below to find out how I create amidst the chaos of life.
I send emails every other Thursday to help you connect to Creative Self so you feel more grounded, calm + present. Each newsletter features a creative invitation, things worth sharing + a snapshot from my studio.
“I have to say I love these emails."
I am a mom and when I read your thoughts it's like "yup", "absolutely", "Amen!", the entire time... I struggle with finding time for myself, and my passions, so your emails inspire me to keep trying. I also learn a lot about…how to incorporate peace, tranquility, and staying inspired into my life.
